Integrating Zendesk with Docket enhances your support workflow by enabling Docket to leverage articles and tickets from Zendesk for accurate and contextually relevant answers. This guide provides step-by-step instructions to configure the integration between Zendesk and Docket, ensuring smooth content synchronization.

Prerequisites:

Before beginning the integration process, ensure the following:

  • Admin Privileges: Ensure admin-level access in both Docket and Zendesk accounts.

Integration Process:

1. Accessing Zendesk Integration in Docket:

  • Navigate to the Integrations page within Docket, found in the Settings menu.

  • Locate the Zendesk app and click on 'Connect'.

2. Authorizing Access:

  • Upon clicking 'Connect', authorize Docket to access your Zendesk account.

3. Selecting Help Centers and Ticket Types:

  • Choose the Article Categories containing articles from your company's Zendesk that you wish to ingest into Docket.

  • Select the ticket types you want to be ingested for knowledge generation within Docket.

4. Initiate Syncing:

  • Once the integration is successfully connected, and the relevant Help Centers and ticket types are selected, data syncing will automatically commence between Docket and Zendesk.

Important Notes:

  • Disconnecting Zendesk from Docket will permanently delete all ingested data from Docket. This data will not be used for future answer generation.

  • Any updates made in Zendesk will trigger a resynchronization process in Docket to ensure that the latest content is available for answer generation.

  • Only one user can connect to the Zendesk account.
