Connecting Aha! Roadmaps to Docket

Integrating Aha! Roadmaps with Docket allows you to seamlessly ingest product release knowledge into Docket, ensuring that your team has access to accurate and up-to-date information about releases, features, and epics. This guide provides step-by-step instructions to configure the integration between Aha! and Docket.


Prerequisites

Before starting the integration process, ensure the following prerequisites are met:

Admin-Level Access

You must have admin-level access in Docket to manage the integration.

Supported User Profiles

The following user profiles are supported for the integration:

  • Administrator

  • Workspace Owner

Aha! Account with API Access

  • You need an API token from Aha!.

  • To generate an API Token:

    1. Log in to your Aha! account.

    2. Navigate to Settings > Personal > Developer.

    3. Click Generate API Key, name your key, and set the access permissions.

    4. Copy the generated API Key for use in Docket.

Copy the Company Name from Aha!

  • Navigate to Settings > Account > Profile in your Aha! account.

  • Copy the Name field to use during the integration setup.


Integration Process

1. Accessing Aha! Integration in Docket

  • Navigate to the Integrations page within Docket, located in the Settings menu.

  • Locate the Aha! app and click on Connect.

2. Authorizing Access

  • Upon clicking Connect, enter the API Key generated and company name in Aha! to authorize Docket to access your Aha! Workspace.

3. Selecting Workspaces

  • After authorization, the Docket Admin can select specific workspaces from Aha! to ingest into Docket.

  • Use the interface to review and select workspaces, and click Save to confirm your choices.

4. Initiating Data Sync

  • Once the integration is successfully connected and workspaces are selected, data syncing will commence automatically between Docket and Aha!.

  • Please note that it may take up to 24 hours for the data to be available for answer generation within Docket.


Important Notes

  • Disconnecting Aha!: Disconnecting the integration will permanently delete the ingested data from Docket, and it will no longer be used for future answer generation. Users should be cautioned accordingly.

  • Workspace Selection: Docket will ingest data only from the selected workspaces.

  • Automatic Updates: Any changes to releases, features, or epics in Aha! will sync with Docket within 24 hours to ensure the latest information is used for answer generation.

  • Supported Aha! Objects: Docket currently syncs the following Aha! objects:

    • Releases

    • Release Phases

    • Epics

    • Features

    • Product Line

    • Comments
