Connecting Document360 to Docket allows you to seamlessly ingest articles from Document360 into Docket, ensuring that your team has access to the most relevant and up-to-date content for knowledge management. This guide provides step-by-step instructions to configure the integration between Document360 and Docket.

Prerequisites

Before starting the integration process, ensure the following prerequisites are met:

  • Admin-Level Access: You must have admin-level access in Docket manage the integration.

  • API Token: Only a Document360 admin can generate an API token. The token can be generated if your Document360 account is on the Professional, Business, Enterprise, Enterprise Plus, or Trial tier. To generate the token:

    • From the Knowledge base portal, go to Settings > Knowledge base portal and select API tokens.

    • Click 'Generate Token' with the method set to Get to obtain your API token. For detailed instructions on generating API tokens, refer to the Document360 API Token Guide.

Integration Process

1. Accessing Document360 Integration in Docket

  • Navigate to the Integrations page within Docket, located in the Settings menu.

  • Locate the Document360 app and click on 'Connect'.

2. Authorizing Access

  • Upon clicking 'Connect', enter the API Token to authorize Docket to access your Document360 workspace.

3. Selecting Categories

  • The Docket Admin can select the specific categories from which articles will be ingested into Docket.

  • After selecting the categories, click ‘Save’ to confirm your choices.

4. Initiate Syncing

  • Once the integration is successfully connected and categories are selected, data syncing will commence automatically between Docket and Document360.

  • Please note that it may take approximately 24 hours for the data to be available for answer generation within Docket.

Important Notes

  • Disconnecting Document360 will permanently delete the ingested data from Docket, and it will no longer be used for future answer generation. Users should be cautioned accordingly.

  • Docket will ingest articles only from the selected categories.

  • When new articles are added or existing ones are updated or removed in Document360, Docket will sync these changes within 24 hours to ensure the latest content is used in answer generation.
