Docket’s Salesforce integration syncs AI-driven prospect conversations into Salesforce to create Leads, Notes, and Events as well as attach Notes/Content Notes and Events.
PREREQUISITES
Admin seat in Docket — required to manage integrations
Salesforce edition with API access (Enterprise, Unlimited, Performance, Developer, Professional) — required
OAuth credentials with API Enabled — required for authentication
System Administrator or Integration User — recommended for full access
Read access to Account, Contact, Lead, Opportunity objects — required for ingestion
Write permission to Account, Contact, Opportunity, Leads, Note, and Event - is required
Enable either Notes or Content Notes depending on your page layout
INTEGRATION PROCESS
Accessing the Salesforce Integration in Docket
Navigate to Settings, Integrations, Salesforce CRM, then click Connect.
Select Production or Sandbox
Authorizing Access
Sign in with Salesforce OAuth
Select Production or Sandbox
Approve API access scope
Click Allow
Configuration Options
Enable Read and Write for Account, Opportunity, Leads, Contacts
Enable Write for Notes, Events
Map Docket fields to Salesforce standard or custom fields
By default maps to standard Salesforce fields.
Enable the checkbox “Create and write ‘Updated By Docket’ as a custom field” for each object to track updates initiated by Docket in Salesforce using a custom field labeled "Updated By Docket."
Click Save
4. Initiating Data Sync
Docket syncs data from Salesforce every 24 hours
Docket pushes updates to Salesforce almost in real time
Salesforce to Docket reads refresh every 24 hours
IMPORTANT NOTES
Disconnecting and holding data pauses all sync operations instantly.
Permanent delete removes ingested data and configuration.
Docket respects field and object permissions.
Rate limits may delay sync; automatic retries occur.
When Content Note and Note are both enabled, the data is written to Content Note.
