Getting started
Setting up a Docket for the first time is super easy. And if you have any questions or need help during this process please write to us at [email protected].
Follow these steps:
Admins, check your email inbox for a welcome email from Docket
Click ‘Setup Account’ in the welcome email.
You will be directed to Docket’s web app in your browser
One the first screen
Enter your work email and full name
Create a unique password
Click ‘Join Now’
Choose a ‘Role’ that best describes your work. This will help us customize your experience in Docket.
Optional: Invite your team members to join and collaborate in Docket.
And that’s it, you’re in!
Next, add a knowledge source
Knowledge sources are sources of information that Docket can use to learn from and answer your questions. Ex: Slack, Google Docs etc. Adding knowledge sources will help Docket retrieve knowledge and answer questions that you ask it. The more knowledge sources your configure, the better Docket’s answers will be.
Add a knowledge source while setting up Docket for the first time.
Drag and drop a file or upload by adding a link. Docket can extract content from linked pages to expand your knowledge base.
Note: You can upload documents in formats such as .pdf, .docx, and .pptx.Click ‘Continue’ to upload and move onto the next step
Connecting Slack
Connecting Slack helps Docket answer questions based on conversations between you and your teammates.
Simply click on ‘Connect' when you see the Slack icon during onboarding
Next, click ‘Allow’ to grant Docket access to Slack.
Click ‘Continue’ to move on
And voila! Your Docket account is all set up and ready to use.
