Connecting Docket MCP to ChatGPT

This guide walks you through the steps to integrate the Docket MCP (Model Context Protocol) with ChatGPT

Important Prerequisites for ChatGPT Users

  • Plan Requirement: Connectors are only available on Plus, Pro, Business, and Enterprise/Edu plans of ChatGPT.

  • Platform: This feature is currently only accessible via the ChatGPT web app.

  • Beta Status: MCP Connector support is currently in Beta and requires Developer Mode.

Connecting to ChatGPT

Step 1: Enable Developer Mode

  1. Open ChatGPT and navigate to Settings.

  2. Locate and enable Developer Mode.

Step 2: Create the Connector

  1. Go back to Settings > Apps and Connectors.

  2. Click on Create.

Step 3: Configure Settings

Fill in the configuration fields with the following details:

  • Name: Docket

  • MCP Server URL: Paste the URL you previously copied (from your Docket dashboard).

  • Authentication: Select OAuth.

  • Acknowledgement: Check the box that says "I understand and want to continue."

  • (All other fields are optional and can be left blank).

  • Click Create to proceed.

Step 4: Authenticate and Use

  1. You will be redirected through a Docket authentication flow. Follow the prompts to authorize the connection.

  2. Once finished, the status should show as Connected.

To use Docket in a chat:

  1. Open a new chat.

  2. Click the + (plus) button next to the text input.

  3. Click on More.

  4. Select Docket MCP from the list.
