Prerequisites:
Before you begin, ensure the following:
You have admin-level access to both Google Workspace and Docket.
1. Setting up SAML SSO with Google:
To implement SAML-based SSO between Google WS and the Docket app, follow these steps to establish the authentication handshake.
Step 1: Create a SAML App Integration on Google WS
Log into your Google WS admin console.
Navigate to Apps > Web and Mobile apps.
Click on Add app.
Click on Add custom SAML app
Step 2: Configure App Name and Logo
Name your application, e.g., Docket.
Add Description
Optionally, upload the Docket logo for easy identification.
Click continue.
Step 3: Copy The Settings and Paste it in Docket SSO Tab
In this step, you need to input the URLs and identifiers to ensure proper communication between Google WS and Docket.
Single Sign-On URL:
Copy and paste the SSO url in the Sign on URL space and Entity ID in the Issuer space
Upload the certificate to Docket
Download the certificate and rename it to “MyDocketSAMLCert.cert” or any name with a .cert extension
Upload the cert on SSO Tab and click on save and continue on Google setup page
Step 4: Add Docket Meta Data to Google on Service providers details step
The ACS Url is the Single sign-on URL and Entity ID as it is are available on docket SSO tab and can be copied from there
The Name ID Format must be EMAIL and Name ID must be primary email , then click on continue
Step 5: Add Mappings and click on Finish
Step 6: Once Completed give App access to Users and save
Step 7: Open a new tab and find DocketAI in app section
Click on the DocketAI app and you will be logged in easily
