What are CTAs in the context of a Marketing Agent
A CTA is a URL that the agent can open in an iframe or as a new tab. With Agent CTAs, you can configure multiple CTAs and have the agent pick one out of them, depending on a criteria.
Let's consider an example use case. Assume you have a PLG product and you have configured a Docket Agent that sits inside your app. If the visitor asks about upgrade options, the Agent can open a URL that would take them to an upgrade page. If the user asks a technical question, the CTA can be configured to take them to the Help Doc or a Support Page.
How to set up Agent CTAs
Log in to your Docket App and Navigate to the Marketing Agent Config page.
Select an Agent to set up CTAs for. If you haven't created any agent yet, refer to this guide to get started.
In the Agent tab, find the "Agent CTAs" section and turn on the toggle.
Click on the "Add CTA" button and enter a Label, Behavior, URL and instructions for the CTA.
Label will appear as is on your widget as a button.
Behavior lets you select between opening the URL in an iframe or as a new tab.
URL is the page you want to open.
Instructions are how the agent determines when to show each CTA.
If the "Set as default CTA" checkbox is selected, then the CTA will be shown when no other CTA is applicable.
You can have only one default CTA at max. If there are no default CTAs, sometimes, the agent will not show a CTA button.
Click on "Add" to save the CTA.
You can add multiple CTAs like this or delete existing ones from the same screen.
